Very good, although I suppose the only thing I would add...

is that the average points for teams in 17th isn't necessarily the average points needed to not finish 18th.

For example, Burnley were 18th with 30 points in 2010 and therefore the team in 17th only would have needed 31 to survive. In fact West Ham reached 35 points.

This means that the average required points (ignoring goal difference) would surely be smaller... ie better for us!
