Once Wigan lose today, if we can beat both them and Bolton at home, the Latics would need 21 points from their remaining 15 games to get above us and Bolton, would need 22 from 16. That's a lot of wins. Whilst that still leaves a third club to finish below us, those two games would put us on 35 points and at least a point per game ahead of several teams, which as you say, is much more than they are getting on current form.
