Remind me how much each place in the Prem is worth again?

I mean the money you get e.g. for finishing 16th instead of 17th - istr it's ?500k or ?1m per place but I can't remember which. Either way I certainly care about other results: I want every team below us to lose every game :-)

I still won't accept we're safe until we've got 40 points, but we do seem likely to achieve that from where we are with the side we've got.

Given that part of me thinks we should sign no-one in Jan, because the prices are too high - as usac (I think) pointed out even to bring in the same quality we have already will be mucho casho.

I do wonder if the wage structure will have to be revisited over the summer. To bring in the next level of quality up we're going to have at least to be in the same ballpark as other clubs (that Everton blog sent shivers down my spine the other day...)
