Uses his two page column to basically praise himself for building his team the right way and not buying success like the two manchester clubs have done. Apparently the biggest transfer fee he has paid out in the last two years was "only" ?8 million for Van Der Vaart and he has benefitted from picking up "bargains" such as Adebayor and Scott Parker.
Ok Spurs might not have paid out the ridiculous sort of transfer fee sums Man City are dishing out because they have bought a lot of their players quite yound but they have still basically bought every single member of that team for several million pounds and pay their players huge wages. he's hardly done it "on the cheap" like Lambert has.
Also conveniently ignores the fact that one of those Manchester clubs has loaned him his main striker and are paying 3/4s of that player's ?120,000 a week wages.
For what its worth I agree he has done a good job at spurs and their strategy of buying young talent is a good one but to make out he's performed some sort of miracle on the cheap just makes him look a prick.
