James Hickey Yes Barton went down easy while playing for Newcastle against arsenal, difference he was actually pushed in the face by Gervinho, so was a red card with Barton staying on his feet or not. In this case cheating Johnson was not even touched. If the ref had given us one of the fouls leading up to the square up, we would never be talking about this!

James Hickey Thug label is the reason he got sent off, despite football pundit's and ex ref's who understand football said it was never a red. And intent?? Lol, they both went head to head, what would of happened Barton if decided to cheat, would Johnson have got sent off? I doubt it!

Jon Roberts In which case, he can't argue when he gets sent off, as he "got involved". And he will continue to get sent off, and be a liability for your team, because he's a tool. Shame actually, because he's a good player, and his goal was excellent. But he is a complete and utter bell-end, so I have zero sympathy for him.
