The FA are desperate to protect Attwell. You know in a game where there's been 2 red cards

and then someone does the worst foul of the match, and the ref gets scared because 2 have gone off already, and only books the player?

The FA are like this with Attwell, at first they acknowledged his mistakes were shocking because he was new. Now years on, they rescind the odd decision, like the Cahill half way last man.

But the Wolves one was too soon after, and they daren't show him up again, because they've said he's the future great referee, and Poll never criticises him

Neither don't want to be wrong about Attwell, but so far he's a joke
