My main point of view about that game was, Newcastle should have won, and they were dominating a poor Arsenal side with no new signings (8-2 Old Trafford type players)
All Barton did by getting Newcastle down to 10 men, meant the game petered out to a draw
Saturday reminds me of this. They were in the driving seat against us, and were leading (would have been interesting with our subs how we would have played second half).
He had to go off the ball and do something similar to the Arsenal game. It backfired, he can't just accept it. Now QPR have just made themselves look ugly to any neutral
I can't help but think of the Chelsea game as well. I've never seen such diving and dirty play. The John Terry stuff has covered over that.
Makes you wonder when clubs will learn from the Leeds prem days. Get the ball on the deck and play, refs get wise to thuggery, and it massively backfires on you in the long run
