Some random thoughts/opinions... ..........Long and tilty.......

Must admit my opinion about what Lambert is hinting at in his recent interviews is changing with every one I hear and read.

In my opinion he is saying that he has taken the club as far as he can by getting young and hungry players from the lower leagues.

He said "he doesnt know how many are still out there/left"

Its clear what he is saying is....... if we want to compete with the top 10 clubs we have to increase the wage cap and buy higher quality/experience........

Of course thats not rocket science.......

The problem is he is a guy who likes to win or at least compete.
He is frustrated. Which to some is a bit bizarre given our position.
2.5 years of non-stop winning will do that to you!

Hucks recently made some tweets which suggest the club buy "experience" rather than champs players.

At first I was surprised but then it clicked that he was actually supporting Paul Lambert.

The truth is we have zero chance to compete with the bigger clubs........they will always gobble up the better players in virtually every position.

Even if we had a rich owner like Stoke and splashed the kind of money they have in the past few years......what does that get you?

It gets you closer, it maybe gets a shot at the Europa League at best......

I think as a club and Paul Lamberts ambition..... maybe have reached an impass.

I think we are going to lose him pretty soon.
The whole world (which includes Germany!) is starting to see what we at Norwich already know.

He wants to win and compete with the very best, we cant offer that without new ownership and vast "investment"

As the Venkys thing proved this season, that can be a f**king disaster.

This might be unpopular but I think its better to lose Paul Lambert than compromise on the future stability of the club.
This is from a person who thinks Paul Lambert is a brilliant manager.

We need to financially stabalize the club and operate within our budget.
We dont have mega rich person who can let the club go into a huge hole.

If that means bouncing between the champs and the PL then so be it.......... at least it will be exciting!
And we will have a club to watch with players who really want to play for us.

FWIW if Lambert left today......who would you pick to replace him?

Personally I would go with Chris Houghton, current brum manager who has worked wonders in the face of a difficult situation.
