Blackpool failed to beat/take points from the teams at the bottom/below them

They lost 3-1 to West Ham, 2-1 to Birmingham and 4-0 to Wolves. They also lost points at Blackburn and Wigan. They got thumped by the top teams so winning a few games against mid-table sides and beating Liverpool made no difference to their season.

Compare that with us - we have deprived points from Blackburn, Wigan and Wolves and have beaten QPR twice. We have also beaten Swansea, Bolton and Sunderland and have taken gained points against Everton, all of who are below us. Gaining points at Liverpool and Newcastle are nice but they mean nothing.

In this respect, we are doing what Blackpool did not - we are gaining points from teams who need them more and have gained a good distance from them as a result. So please can the comparisons stop.
