Fwiw, and just to add another opinion on this - I was actually watching Barton and Johnson when it happened. And had better view than you get on the telly, or at least that I've seen on it so far.

Barton did push his forehead into Johnson's face. No question - I was watching them when it happened, and had a perfectly clear view.

At the time I remember being surprised that Johnson hadn't gone down. Most players would have.
