Just got back from the England game...

... A little late indeed - I spent last night at a mate's in Sheffield.

On the whole, a thoroughly disapointing performance and the only difference between both sides was a flukey penalty and a controversial sending off.

Englanf gained momentum from the goal, then lost it after Beckham was sent we off. England then spent the remainder of the game playing Norwich style football. Austria were unlucky not to have equalised on two occasions.

Paul Robinson looked strong, although his distribution was crap. John Terry looked far from comfortable; Sol Campbell was quite good. Luke Young played some decent stuff.

The Midfield: Lampard and Gerrard looked a total non-event, Cole failed to Sparkle and Beckham gave a typical Beckham performance in an England shirt - capped off with an undeserved sending off.

The Crouch and Owen partnership looked good, but not brilliant.
