In defence of the Wrath

Since the other fella's nipper saw fit to spread his "this board is s**t" crap yesterday evening I thought it time I redressed the balance.

The Wrath is f**king good, because:

- there's something happening most days, not just team news days. I laughed out loud at several of the poems yesterday. Show me somewhere else where I don't have to be "one of the gang" but can still find stuff as funny.
- it's not cliquey - I don't physically know (in the non-Biblical sense...) any other poster on here yet "fit in" quite happily, and have faded in and out (work demands) under various pseudonyms over quite a period without anyone noticing or needing to. I like that - very atypical of an internet community.
- it's a shining example of where the accepted boundaries of taste should lie. Politically incorrect posts abound - I am responsible for a number - but genuinely offensive material (racism and the like) is very quickly jumped on, not by Ben but by the other denizens of the Board. I would rather the rest of the world fitted Wrath values than the Wrath fitted in with commonly-accepted PC nonsense.
- it's risk free. If I make a complete nob of myself - as I have done a number of times- no-one knows who the f**k I am, so it doesn't matter. This leads to far more amusing posts (mostly from people who aren't me - but bear with me here).
- it's by far the best place to be if you can't get to a game. The premium tv thing is totally f**king s**te. Other "live" websites lag behind. For up to date reactions and news etc this is The Place To Be if you're a City fan unable to make a match.

Ben has put a lot of effort into the board - I've never knowingly met the bloke, nor am I likely to (I like anonymity - cue a post from Conspiracy Theorist ;-) but I think we're all very appreciative of the system he has in place and the extremely light hand with which he manages it - which is what ulimately makes the place. So to finish, "Thanks Ben". Seriously and sincerely.

And remember - if you're with me all the way this far, you're halfway to Hell...
