When asked about the best player he was with at Arsenal he mentioned Ryan Smith who I saw a couple of times playing for Arsenal youth and reserves. He was frighteningly good, fast and as Bradley Johnson mentioned had very quick feet. He played left wing/midfield.

I next saw him live in the 2-2 draw vs Southampton, the game after the 4-0 vs Barnsley when despite us getting ripped to shreds down our left, Gunny didn?t make a sub and it really cost us.

The opposition player who looked completely lost in the first 45 minutes and hardly touched it was the same Ryan Smith who had bounced around a few Championship clubs before going on loan at Southampton. He was subbed off for Saganoski who provided the cross for at least one of the goals.
