because my favourite other albums this year I came too late from 2010, like The Suburbs by Arcade Fire and the Archandroid by Janelle Monae and Beneath This Burning Shoreline by Cherry Ghost.

So, to get to the point, the album that for me is absolutely head, shoulders, knees and toes above anything else I've heard in 2011 is Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes.
