i was never into cars

all my mates were desperate to and as soon as were 17 started lessons and most passed by their 18th birthday.
i just couldn't be assed - got taxied everywhere by parents, mates, girlfriends...

only as a result of parental pressure that i took my test when 25.
got by fine when couldmt drive but definitely handy to be able to.
Now we have a child its essential really.

A lot depends on where you live too. I have friends in London who have never passed their test and don't need to due to good public transport and fact that driving in London is s**t.
