oh, and I have a close relative, going through such a messy divorce, that they've had to stop working over a year ago because of demands of a lump sum in the divorce

And even though they have custody of the children, they are in court soon because the non custodial parent is claiming they are owed maintenance, from the benefits

The law, and people eh? How does it come to this?
