Strange comment by Mick McCarthy on SSN.........

claimed all the PL teams outside the top six were basically looking at the same players in the transfer window.......

??? I dont remember too many PL teams looking in LG1 in the summer?
Not many went to the championship either for players who had almost no PL experience like we did.

I think Lambert summed it up perfectly in the Mick Dennis interview.

He wanted to bring a number of players but had to keep within a tight wage structure.

He mentioned Robbie Keane was available on a free.

So glad we didnt go down the Robbie Keane/Jimmy Bullard route............
