Have you caught up with the mid-season finale from last week? Fuh. King. Hell. A lot of work leading up to what was only five minutes of pay-off at the end but f**king hell that was brilliant telly. I'm not going into details in case you haven't seen it, but that five minutes, the pathos and humanity more than make up for what had been a pretty turgid few hours previously.

I only just watched it. Was confident that it was goin to get better eventually, but had now idea how. They've gone totally off-piste from the original stories, stealing bits and pieces from different plot lines all over the place, but I think they've done it well, on balance.

However, I agree with you that it'd been a slow start to the series. I hope you hadn't given up on it.
