Karn - system restore failed four times. I'm not too alarmed by this

because, although I've done them successfully for other people, I have never managed to perform one on my own PC, right down the years. I don't know why this is, maybe it's because I'm forever moving files between folders, deleting and erasing stuff etc.

So I'm going to go for the healthy paranoia option: have Task manager onscreen at all times and google anything I don't recognise. Boring, but reassuring.
