Another local game of us today, so we took the train/tram - walk option and got rained on walking up and walking back. We were hoping to avoid a hammering and to try to give Man City a bit of competition - like we did to Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool. But today was a bit of a 'park the bus' job. City were just too good, that's what ?200m buys you.
From our point of view. Shame Morison and Barnett couldn't capitalise on their 1on1's. Ruddy, a bit all over the place for 2-0. Good finish from Morison for 3-1. More attacking in the 2nd half with Wes, Holt and Fox. City's 2 late goals added the gloss.
Thought the atmosphere in the Away End was a bit subdued, at least in the Lower Tier. But Man City fans I've spoken to said we were bigger in numbers and noisier than most visitors.
So we expected nothing and got nothing. 'Move along, there's nothing to see here'.
One final observation. The announcer and scoreboard only referred to 'City' and 'Norwich'. We're Norwich City.
Off to Everton in a fortnight, with optimism.
