"ONLY 4 weeks in the summer" - crikey, last time I had 4 weeks off straight was when I was at school.... if I want MORE than a week off ANYTIME I have to apply for it in writing some 3 months in advance and he limit is 2 weeks anyway.

As Mickdundee says above, many private sector workers have to sort their OWN pension - or rely on the states. The public sector pensions are way beyond the value of most private sector ones.

Sorry, but what ever your view on the strike/public sector pensions, you have to accept that by seeking sympathy actually, in many cases, its backfired.
