With Whitbread and Ayala coming back and Ward (maybe?!) back for the new year?

It time to think about defenders in the JAN transfer window.

The thing is.......I dont think Lambert will go for anyone.

The problem is....... who is available in our price range.... and is better than we currently have.

Plus we now have 5 players who can play CB.
Ayala doesnt count against the 25 but thats still a lot.
We also have the possibility of Ward coming back too.

I cant see us doing anything unless we sell first.

I think the area we will look to add is creative midfield abd possibly striker.

Snodgrass (age 24) is obviously still on our radar if the price is right.
Albert Adomah (age 24) is another who might be on the radar.

Up front, we are still looking for the smaller/quicker striker.
Maybe a player like Nicky Maynard (age 25) might interest us if Vaughan cant stay healthy.

Another is Lukas Jutkiewicz (age 22) who I know we have had watched.
Speculation that saints are going to put in a bid for him in Jan.
