cheap tablets are s**t. Ok they might run "android" but it's often an older version, the screens aRe s**t meaning not very usable as an ebook reader or video device. Often a touch screen as opposed to the iPad / Samsung style light sensitive ones meaning the interface is sluggish and jerky. Then the life is short because you can't upgrade android because of the low specs and newer apps are coming out only on newer android versions.
I would say only buy a tablet if you can afford a good one. Ipad2 or Samsung galaxy range. Don't bother with a cheap one unless you've had the opportunity to play with one yourself and are happy with it. That is the reason i bought my NetBook (new for less than 150).
Only reasoning bought the ipad2 as earlier stated was cos. got it at half price. Honestly - if you pay 400 for an iPad or decent android tablet which actually gives you the tablet experience and a couple of years or more usage (nice thing with apple is they tend to support older devices for longer) that's cheaper than having to spend 150 a year for something which doesn't quite do what you want. Might as well get a cheap NetBook.
