Right... FINAL WORD FROM ME ON THIS

I think Dubbers is absolutely right. I think that no-one should be picked on and no-one should be subjected to relentless poking for no good reason. I also agree that Sellers keeps it ticking over and his posts can be provocative and unnecessary. However I also think that they are so laughably crap at times, I just can't see what there is to get that worked up about! Perhaps that's not for me to judge.

Here comes the big 'but' though.

I am absolutely certain, beyond any doubt, that pants starts trouble on here and he certainly gives out as much as he takes. I am also certain that this is not simply based on him being worn down by 'abuse'. He has said some truly horrific things, crossing lines that should never ever be crossed. Is it really ever appropriate under any circumstances to repeatedly provoke someone whose mother is dead by telling him he is "crying for mummy"?

Day after day he barks out contentious views that do wind some people up and it's been going on for years. Some people shrug it off (good for them) others, like me, just cannot. For example, I don't think Sol Campbell 'got what he deserved' when supporters were singing about him being a nigger swinging from a tree with HIV. And I also don't think that colleagues shouldn't mourn the death of a young WPC because of police failures elsewhere.

Some of you are quite happy just to shrug your shoulders and go "oh pants!" But I'm not. Regardless of other posters on this board, he holds some vicious views and I believe him to be THE catalyst for this board's worst moments.

If selwyn leaves not much will change. If scc leaves not much will change. If pants leaves, everything will change. You may disagree, that is your right. This is simply how I see it.

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is my last about pants or to pants. I am absolutely thoroughly sick of him and discussions about him. However please do allow me the courtesy of contributing to discussions about issues on which he holds an opinion. I think that's allowed.
