Speed is clearly an example of someone who didn't want to be charged with the rescue blues, which is what people generally do. You say you're down to someone, they'll be sympathetic to you there and then. A week later they'll condemn you for going on about it

Vicious cycle really. Although it's a shock, there's definite understanding why people will hide it
