But people are trying to talk it up like it's the future- it's not.
I don't like T20 at all, really. It's ok but there are so many one-sided games, it's unreal. And the thing is, if one team is behind in a T20, that can be it- there's not much suspense or thrills.
I get tired of seeing a ball being blasted to the boundary twice an over. Cricket is already a batsman-friendly game, T20 just amplifies that. It used to be spinners that were lacking- then came Warne and Murali, now it's the pacemen who are lacking. Apart from Steyn, where are the genuine PACE bowlers? The West Indies greats, Wasim, Waqar, Donald, etc? Pace bowlers get tonked in T20 so spinners become more influential. But it's the batsman who get most of the glory.
People say passages of play in Test/ 4 day cricket are boring- not for me. They're ABSORBING for me. Like you say, a team can go 3 sessions being on top, suddenly the opposition takes the next session and they're back in the game. It's cut and thrust, parry and blow. I love it.
