unions on strike left right and centre, the then labour government printing more and more ? notes to try to get us out of debt, yet still over-spending (hmmm, seems familiar!) Bins left un-emptied on our streets as the binmen on strike, having to get the army to drive round in pink pigs to collect the refuse....

Oh, I wonder what Labour would have done when Agentina invaded the Falklands 3 years later......
