I have to say, I'm struggling to see whjat is so hilarious about a dog chasing deer.

It's a perfectly natural thing to do and those of us who have owned a dog will, at one time or another, been in a similar position.
My dog once chased a race horse on Newmarket Heath.
It wasn't at all funny
