I'm not convinced by Ward or Whitbread myself

but I think Lambert rates them both very highly - so will at least give them a chance before buying.

I think our defensive problems run a lot deeper than the back four though. We just don't set up to defend - never have under Lambert. Just at this level you can't leave a full back one on one with Walcott, Agbonlahor or even Victor Moses - because they are too good.
