Paul McVeigh does an 18 min sit down interview with John Ruddy.
There is an 11 min video of the recent Q&A at Carrow road.
David McNally goes into detail why we give up so many seats to seperate the away fans when other clubs dont.
They talked about the 35,000 stadium thing and although they seem optomistic, its very much a wait and see situation.
The plan over the next 3 season is basically to invest in players in each window instead of making a huge commitment to more seats.
This includes paying off all the debt within 2 years.
In my opinion they have it spot on.
There is talk of a temp stand in front of the hotel which could add another 500-1000 ???? seats.
(I could have sworn someone mentioned that last season!)
Outside of a few select games we could be getting close to demand.
Im not really sure we could fill 35,000 every week.
I am also doubtful of the numbers that suggest we could be self sufficient.
Surely the cheaper option would be to build a permanent corner in front of the hotel.
It wouldnt disrupt much if done in the summer and could add as many as 1000-1500 seats, depending on tunnel access.
The thing I dont understand about the 35,000 thing is.....
Even if you fill it every week, the extra 6000 you would get over just the corner is only a small fraction of th revenue we receive from the current crowd + TV money.
When you factor in a stand is likley to cost 20M (plus interest on a loan) when everything is included it would take a long time to break even if you throw in interest every season.
Again I think building the temp stand in front of the hotel makes sense as it lets us gauge demand.
If we cant sell out 28,000 most games then it just suggest the demand for 35,000 isnt even close to being there outside of select games.
