My daughter used J25 on the M5 about 4 or 5 hrs before the crash

I know that's a significant amount of time, but it still feels like a near miss to me.

She said the rain was teeming down all through her journey. I'm guessing that the cause of the tragedy may have been heavy rain falling onto an established bonfire, causing an unexpected volume of smoke which drifted across the carriageways. Would it? It feels feasible.

More than anything else I'm praying it wasn't caused by someone f**king about. That would be awful, but I'm a little alarmed that the cops aren't saying much.

Shudder, basically.
