No idea how good Stockdale is. But players ought to be picked on the basis of how good they are, not on who they play for.

(In general, I think Capello and his predecessors have done too much of the latter. Hence, for example, Parket hardly getting picked for ages, even though he was obviously a better midfielder than many who were getting picked,because they were playing for more successful clubs.)
