That's defintely true

but even lower league defenders would 9 times out of 10 boot the ball into the stands instead of what Barnett did yesterday. The penalty he gave away against Bolton was also unforgivable. Everybody expected us to conceed lots of goals this season but we need to cut out completely unnessercery errors. De Laet was dropped due to this. Nobody should get special treatment although having said that our defensive replacements are no better than those currently playing. I'm sure Lambert will do the right thing in January.

The first and third goals are situations where the opposition completely outclassed us, situations that could be prevented but will be difficult when up against pace, power and class like Bent and Agbonlahor. Barnetts definitely given it his all there's no doubt about it. Even at his worst he will be fully commited. Having said this, commitment alone isn't enough to stop us from shipping 2 or 3 goals a game.
