Well We Lost But I'm Pretty Content Still

No-ones turned us over yet (that may change in a fortnight) and yes, we're shipping a few goals, but I think a lot of what has happened this season isn't so much down to bad players and poor defending as naivety and players finding their feet.

Every single player in our team is new to this level and all that goes with it-the expectancy, the pace, the physical presence of other teams. Moves, passes and play that was second nature in the Championship gets found out at this level, you can see that a lot of the incidents that have let us down have not seemed rushed or carried out in a panic but as part of the gameplay with them consequently being jumped upon by the opposition.

Still learning and learning we will still be in May.

I'm looking forward to seeing Whitbred and Ayala return to fitness because I could almost see them as our first choice centre backs. As far as the defence is concerned, its a very offensive one with offensive players, especially the full backs, so we will get caught and let in a few, just as we did in 92/93.

At least we look like we can score a few goals and the way Pilks and Morison have stepped up to this level is beyond admirable.
