I honestly thought it could not get better than the end of last season

Sure I wasn't the only one to post it at the time.

We also agreed that PL could be changing the way people look at British transfers and lower leagues for ever. With the hindsight of three months into the season, i still don't think that was hyperbole.

We just keep re-writing the rule book.
