Obviously there is some flexibility depending on position but obviously Lambert has to know what his limits are in terms of transfer fees and club wage caps.

Not much point looking at players now who earn 3x what we can pay or a transfer fee that might blow his whole budget so he cant buy any more players.

As we get closer to the window expect those at the club to be more evasive about transfer budgets.
Expect them to start pleading poverty a bit as well for obvious reason......

There will be many mixed messages for business reasons.
