i got promoted to the player league but trained similar to previous years, and certainly not the best league in the world

in the opening games i found it very tough going and spent most of the time falling over or committing fouls. i scored 1 opportunist goal but that papered over the cracks.

then i read something that inspired me. a highly respected poster by the name of scc posted on wotb that i wasn't a prem player. and in my current state, he was right. i could no longer get into the team and needed to sort myself out. within a few weeks i'd lost a stone, scored the equaliser at anfield and another against blackburn.

i owe him everything
