I was 14 in '76 so just the right age for it (although it didn't reach Somerset where I

was growing up until about '78). I loved all the stuff that was coming out then - punk, new wave, 2 Tone, rockabilly, revival of mod. It's still the stuff I play loudly in the car on the way into work to make me happy.

I hope everyone loves the music they grow up with between the ages of say 14-18 but it's hard for me to think of a better time than '76-80! (I'm terribly judgemental of people my age who hated punk and liked Elton John and Fleetwood Mac. I'm also cross when Tory politicians claim to have liked punk!)
