ha yes, he sounds a bit jaded by it all

can't blame him to be fair. Whenever I come back there's always a part of me that dreads the new s**t changes in England that I notice from the last time.
One of the things I notice is that people are ruder and less conscious of those around them every time. Sad really. Mind you, I like getting back to my folks' village when people say hello to strangers
