I'm quite open about this after the last time

I sold somone something for ?100, and they paid me, so they bought something else for ?80, and asked if they could pay the week after.

And the weird game started

4 months of regular promises and texts say they'll have it the next day. I gave up thinking I'd ever get it, I just wanted them to give up communicating bulls**t with me

In the end, I got a cheque, (pretend it's today's date) date the 26th October. So I waited the 2 weeks till this mental date, and put it in the bank the day before

The 26th arrives, and my phone goes barmy with texts saying don't cash it, it's not my account, and it's a special kind of account that clears cheques instantly. I just replied that I put it in

"special kind of account"

It cleared 10 days later

There's a lesson to be learnt from people who seem alright for ages, until they ask you to do something, or owe you money
