you had the irish question, you had the radicals - luddites, chartists, anti corn law league, not to mention sending the army on your own people - peterloo massacre, brill.

You had the struggle for empires, the growth of "working class politics" (take note PK), the irish fenians, aliances with hard right and radicals to defeat govts and the subsequent fallout from it....

politics of today just seems so dull!
