Made a week-end of it in Manchester (no not at the Tory conference)
Sat high up in the North Stand with Man U fans, quite a few of which were like me on their 1st visit as they didn?t know where to go/sit etc.
I was worried about keeping quiet but I shouldn?t have, I can?t believe 70,000 people can be so quiet, all around me were just moans and groans, they don?t like it when things are not going their way that?s for sure. Even when they scored I could still hear otbc above the cheering, our fans were immense, it was obvious we were City fans due to our accents and general fidgeting when City were attacking but we had no agro, in fact after the game one guy wished me all the best and hoped we stay up, he had relations living in Mundsley
Funny moment when our fans were singing ?we?ve come for our scarf?s? one Man U fan stood up and shouted ?come and get it then? in true Gumby style complete with clenched fists
Also enjoyed the ?we support our local team? followed by ?you support a load of s**t? response apart from that a few rounds of united, united and that was it from them.
As for the stadium itself I was perhaps expecting a bit more of a wow factor, my seat was cramped and the floor covered in spilt drinks as they make everyone take the tops off bottles. The mega store was hot and dark although 35 tills is quite impressive! As is the number of tat stalls outside the ground.
I can?t believe the fans there there actually feel part of the club as I do with City, give me carra rud and the one scarf seller any day
As for the game, 2-0 to City wouldn?t have been a surprise on that display
Had a nice meal in China Town after, loads of old bill in the City due to the Tories gang bang so felt quite safe wandering around with the little BSE?s
Keep playing like that and we?ll easily be safe
