Our local game at Old Trafford and the shortest away trip. As always the Yellow Army were in great voice, but in the away end, the distance between the seats was rather tight. Before kick-off I was concerned about my knees if we scored. My worries were fortunately unwarranted because the Stewards were OK with standing and that we should have scored from a number of wonderful chances that we created.
Before the game, I'd have taken a 2-0 Utd win, but walking out, a bit gutted that we'd not taken at least a draw. Very proud of the team, all excellent, and going a bit Worthy here, excellent work-rate. The difference to our last outing at Old Trafford was the way we attacked a rather dodgy Utd defence.
No mention of who played particularly well. Everyone did. We matched Utd and created more chances than they did.
Very proud of our Team and our Club. Old Trafford maybe The Theatre of Dreams, but the only noise was from the away end. 72,000 Mancs, we never heard you.
'We've come for our scarves' .... only if Pilks had curled the ball into the far post, the Away End would have gone mad!
Anyway, got back in a time before we got out of the car park at Bolton.
