I think in the middle of our messy times. I respected his decisions

and how he'd let a game flow I think a lot of refs are like that, because they come up through the ranks in amatuer football, where tackles are miss timed, but it's quite honest footer

He did our game away at Sheff Utd a few seasons back, and Shackell went in on one of their players. It was one of those where the whole ground gasps because it was so bad. He only yellowed him. In the second half, (I think) Otsomebor who'd already been booked, brought down their winger who was aboutt to canter on goal and cross it in. He really should have second yellowed him, but didn't feel it was needed

He can control a game, and make good decisions. It just seems with his age, and premier league pressure, that when he's put into the spotlight, all that judgement goes to s**t
