Having watched the game again in glorious HD on me "big telly"

I think we did really well, especially in the first half.

Tremendous work ethic in closing down Bolton.

You could see our plan was to keep them quiet early knowing the crowd would be edgy after their recent hamerings. Worked perfectly.

Fox always puts in a quality curling delivery, especially on the move. (ala Portsmouth)
Shame he doesnt get wide very often.
Needs to take all of our free kicks!

Brad Johnson worked really hard, scored a great goal and did everything right except take free kicks........Am I the only one who would like to see Fox take them as I think his whipping/curling delivery would be perfect to get up and over the wall.

Wes worked really hard, looked like he cramped at the end.

R Martin did a great job and was very cool under pressure which is the main reason he was brought in.

Tierney was great again, been one of our most consistant players. One of the few in the team who has his place locked up.
Rep of Ireland would be crazy not to draft him into the squad.

Barnett. Defended well with strength but again some of his decision making is questionable.
He is obviously a quality defender but is let down by his rashness (like throwing the ball at the ref!)

Naughton. Defended well but for someone with good pace doesnt seem to get forward as much as Tierney.
When we play the Diamond you need the overlap.

Ruddy. made some good saves, especially the last one.

Morison. Worked really hard and got in some good positions but someone of his experience has to get caught offside less often. Way too many times.

Bennet. Again worked hard but didnt get in as many good positions. Final ball was mostly lacking.

Pilkington. Good positioning for the goal but overall looked a bit lacking in match fitness so it was no suprise he was subbed.

Of the subs

Holt. Did exactly what it says on the tin. Held up the ball well when we needed it. Lacked control a couple of times but also had some really nice touches when we needed it.
Defenders must hate playing Holt as he sucks you into all his mind games.
Ironic that the same fans who have Kevin Davies as their captain were all booing Holt.............

Vaughan. I thought he was really good when he came on with little reward. He manged to get away from defenders on numerous occasions with great runs but didnt get the right service at any moment.
I think Vaughan and Holt (or Morison) would be a great attacking force.
