I think too much focus has been put towards this. People make it sound like

if he wasn't in the team, those errors wouldn't exist

Yet the exceptional defending he produces in games, would be the mistakes other defenders wouldn't be able to cope with all 90 minutes

I can only think he's doing something right in a way, he's taking the heat of the rest of squad, and those players who've made bigger contributions to lose points

Cos in that sense, Barnett is getting an easy ride for his general play this season, which isn't perfect
