I do fear that we have too many Championship standard players. I'm not passing judgement yet on anyone, but just baseing my opinions so far on what I have seen. Lambert said that he was not prepared to go down the foreign player route as "he needs players to hit the ground running" and foreign players take a while to adapt and settle in. That's all well and good but if the British players you sign aren't up to the standard it doesn't matter that they hit the ground running.
Can't fault the effort though.
