To play devil's advocate here...

do you think there would be so much fuss if the lad hadn't had the fit on the pitch? I haven't seen the challenge but how many times during any game does a defender go through the attacker, its quite frequent, so maybe it was just a case of bad timing but as i say I haven't seen it to comment on intent.
