...went to get results today, my consultant had the scan and was perusing it as we chatted-he said it all looked good to him, but he still had to have the "OK" from the radiologist to officially give me the all clear.
In my experience of the them and CAT scans-and I've had a few over the last few years-if they let you go home afterwards and you don't immediately hear from the hospital (ie) 1-2 days afterwards, you're probably OK.
The scans come through "live" as you're having it-they'll be monitoring them and you as you have it, there's no actual wait for them to develop or similar.
Radiologist has to check them and advise your consultant accordingly-and, if like me, yours look OK and there isn't any immediate cause for concern, then maybe thats why you're still waiting -its a no news is good news type of thing-though, again, thats my experience of the thngs.
Hope all is well-its hard waiting for results but if something was very obviously up, I think you'd have heard fairly quickly afterwards.
