I think you are either over-estimating or under-estimating your audience

Some people (like me, and presumably CB41) don't get it - you therefore over-estimate their ability to decode your jokes

Some people (I assume) get it, but have far too sophisticated a sense of humour to lol at it. I include pants in this category, natch. You therefore underestimate what it takes to get a lol from the Comedy Kings of WOTB
